Cindy Mui Perez

Cindy Mui Perez is a Senior Instructional Designer at the Teaching + Learning Commons. Cindy specializes in promoting inclusive online course design and collaborating with faculty to improve learning experiences.

Cindy earned her undergraduate degree in Cognitive Science at UC San Diego and is currently pursuing her graduate studies in Instructional Systems and Learning Technologies at Florida State University. Before joining the Teaching + Learning Commons in 2019, Cindy worked in Cognitive and Neuroscience research, focusing on memory and attention in children and adult learners. She later shifted her focus to supporting higher education through Educational Technology and later Instructional Design.

As a LEAD Fellow, Cindy is dedicated to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in both the online classroom and the broader UC San Diego community.
